AMF withdraws authorisation for portfolio management company Vendôme Capital Partners

Considering the situation of the portfolio management company, the Board of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) decided to withdraw its authorisation for Vendôme Capital Partners. This withdrawal will take effect on 27 April 2018.

Canadian securities regulators sign agreement with the French Autorité des marchés financiers

The securities regulatory authorities in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Québec and Saskatchewan (participating jurisdictions) today announced a co-operation agreement with the French Autorité des marchés financiers (French AMF, based in Paris, France). This agreement will allow the participating jurisdictions and the French AMF to refer novel businesses seeking to enter the others’ markets.

First annual AMF survey of savings and investment: nearly one french person in two believes that equities are the best long-term investment

The AMF is launching an annual study to gain a better understanding of the behaviour and opinions of retail investors. The first edition of this Survey , which is the most complete overview of the market with regard to savers’ decisions and objectives, in particular measures their appetite for the Stock Market and detects some encouraging signs when it comes to equity investment. At the same time, the AMF is revealing the results of a study of returns on investments over time, whose conclusions support the legitimate interest of many French people in equities.

The AMF has published a study on the fees charged by UCITS distributed in France

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) reviewed the key information documents for just over 8,000 funds and on that basis, offers an overview of funds distributed in France, explanatory factors for variations observed in the fees, an analysis of funds that charge the highest fees and an assessment of performance fees. It found that 148 funds charged substantially high fees.

Through their Joint Unit, the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) and the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) wish to enhance crowdfunders’ protection. They have decided to publish a position on the procedure for default rates calculation, a recommendation on the platforms run-off management and a position on the marketing of crowdfunding offers. These documents target several types of professionals, namely crowdlending intermediaries, crowdfunding investment advisors and investment services providers.
