The AMF consults on changes to its General Regulation in preparation for MiFID II

The AMF is holding a public consultation on changes to Books III and V of its General Regulation, which deal with investment services providers and market infrastructures respectively. This marks the final stage before implementation of the new framework for markets in financial instruments on 3 January 2018.

The AMF attributes its 2017 Young Researcher in Economics Award

The AMF launched the Young Researcher Award in 2015 with the aim of supporting academic research on topics related to regulation and the financial markets. This year the prize is being awarded to Tristan Roger, assistant professor at Université Paris Dauphine.

The ARPP (French advertising self-regulatory organization) is issuing a recommendation in order to inform the advertising industry regarding the regulation of intermediation in miscellaneous assets. With a view to better protection for savers, the Sapin II law (1) has introduced a change in the system: no offer on atypical investments car be directly marketed in France on without prior allocation by the AMF of a registration number.
